Worship Director Position

Job Description


Passionate about the gospel and about living with and loving God’s people regardless of age, race, gender, or ability

Dynamically lead God’s people in worship both musically and liturgically

Participate in the facilitation of an engaging and inviting worship experience by being one of the main public leaders during worship

Represent the culture and mission of the Kingdom and of Covenant

Continually grow a community of volunteers who practice and prepare for Sunday worship services while ministering to them by example, prayer and discipleship


Participate skillfully in worship leadership 

Play musical instruments including but not limited to piano or guitar, and vocals

Confidently read and interpret music with the ability to lead and teach

Lead praise band rehearsals and worship team meetings

Lead the tech team

Prepare music for all instruments

Equip and empower volunteers to lead in the worship space

Prepare songs corresponding with the weekly theme and message, working directly with the lead pastor

Technical knowledge 

Live digital sound mixing

Streaming sound and video

Worship software, internet-based worship planning, and the ability to convey that knowledge to others. (Pro-presenter, Planning Center Online, etc.) 


The position is accountable directly to the Senior Pastor and will receive an annual evaluation from Pastor and HR Team representatives. This is a year-round part-time position of approximately 15 hours per week; preparing, organizing, and communicating material for each week’s events. Hours will be determined with Pastor to support the scheduling needs of volunteers for worship services.

The compensation range for this position is $15-20/hr based on experience and education.
